About the Doctors

Sung Shyn, DDS

Dr. Shyn is thoroughly dedicated to providing his patients with comprehensive orthodontic care. In fact, unlike most orthodontists, Dr. Shyn has worked for over a decade in the field of general dentistry before specializing in orthodontics so that he can better serve his patients.

Dr. Shyn graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1991, then practiced and studied dentistry for 10 years before focusing specifically in orthodontics and completing his orthodontic certification and residency at Jacksonville University. He then became Board certified with Diplomate status by the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction attainable only by additional study and work in orthodontics.

Dr. Shyn is a member of many leading organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists among others. Away from the office, he enjoys golf, downhill skiing and traveling.
